Recalling a GL Transaction Batch

You can recall an existing GL transaction batch to add, amend or delete transactions. You can only recall batches that have been saved but not yet been posted. You can then re-hold the batch if required or post it. You can also delete a batch you no longer need.

You also use this option if you have:

• imported a batch file of externally created journal transactions to MGL to load the journal batch into MGL – see "GL Transactions - Import GL Journals"
• created a Standing Journal Accrual type batch to load the reversal batch the following month – see "Creating a New Standing Journal Template".

1. Select GL TRANSACTIONS | GENERAL LEDGER TRANSACTIONS.

2. Select FILE | LOAD BATCH.

3. Either double click on the batch you want to load, or select a batch and press the Enter key.

Technical Tip If you have imported a batch file of externally created journal transactions to MGL, you need to select Journal in the Batch Type field to display the individual journal entries.

4. Add, edit or delete the GL transactions in the batch according to the Batch Type selected:

• payments – see "GL Transactions - Payment Entry"
• journals – see "GL Transactions - Journal Entry"
• receipts – see "GL Transactions - Receipt Entry".
